Catholic media workers in Zambia are to gather in Lusaka, 7th to 12 February, 2016 for a training workshop on how to report Church news.
The training workshop will also highlight themes on the family following the just ended Synod on the family.
Catholic Media Services (CMS) executive Director Father Winfield Kunda who has confirmed the development said the workshop will be held with support from SIGNIS.
“With support from SIGNIS, we shall bring to Lusaka radio station managers, news editors and related media workers for a 5 day media training workshop on how to report Catholic news under the theme Media and the Family” Father Kunda said.
Father Kunda who has showed gratitude to SIGNIS for the support to hold this workshop which has been on the drawing table for close to 10 years, further announced that the main objective of this training workshop is to promote linkages of all Catholic media outlets in dioceses with Catholic Media Services and how such linkages can enhance reporting church news in Zambia’s respective dioceses.
Zambia has 8 Catholic run radio stations with one in Kabwe and Kasama dioceses in the pipeline of being established.
